Frequently Asked Questions

What does certified organic mean?

Five:am products are certified organic by the Australian Certified Organic organisation (ACO). This means are products are free from human-made fertilisers, pesticides, growth regulators, and GMOs. A product can be organic but not certified. Being certified provides an additional layer of assurance five:am products meet these standards.

What is the non-paper based material your paper tubs are coated with?

Our Five:am paper tubs and paper lids are 90% paperboard and the paper is of the highest level of sustainability made from responsibly sourced materials. However, we are realistic that the paper tub has a thin plastic lining to maintain the quality of our organic yoghurt. This is a leap forward in sustainability and we expect in the future we will be able to remove the plastic liner.

Are the paper tubs recyclable?

The paper tubs, lid and foil (when scrunched) are all recyclable.
